Since the En Garde tournament was cancelled, I decided last minute to take mom out for dinner. And bro #3 and his girlfriend and two children came along. I found a place that kept tables open for walk-ins (rather than reservations), and they managed to find us a place. We ate very well, too. Not bad for a last-minute Mother's Day gift!

There. I came back at about the time I wanted to. (I went to help mom and bros at cleaning up the place that got sold.) I am missing a few boxes of stuff, but I didn't have the place in my car. I also came back with some preserves sis-in-law#4 didn't want to move. But now, leftovers in the microwave,

Bah. The fabric mom picked turned to to be too short to make her a nightgown. So I'll have to get another one. (Or fine another pattern that would fit in. I could use a contrasting fabric at the top and bottom, if need be.)

I did a little bit of cleaning, and once I'll have eaten, I'll be ready to start weeding outside. It's gray, but not raining; cool, but not cold. I think I need more vitamine D, and my flower (and berry) beds definitely need weeding. (As long as I don't lose my motivation...) I hope you are all having a great day!

Meeting done. Grocery shopping done. And Onyx seems to be going well. She ate a bird and a mouse this morning. Although I left her outside during the night (I did put out water, her bed, and her carrier with a towel in it if she wanted more protection; and I knew the overnight temps would be mild.)

Oh great. Onyx just vomited. Maybe with a bit of diarrhea, cause there was a stool in the puddle. I cleaned it immediately, but no fun. (I used a good dose of a steam cleaner cause of course, she did on the carpet. ) Hopefully it'll be a one-off...

Onyx again woke me up at around 6am, so I'll have to get serious about adding a cat door. At least I had a good nap yesterday, so I am not too tired today. But after much time-wasting, it's time for a shower, and to get some stuff done. Have a great day, everyone!

I slept badly, and not enough I think I'll just go back to bed. Then more installing drawers in my cupboard, putting pots and pan in said drawers, and putting other stuff in the big drawers that will be freed up.
