Bah. The fabric mom picked turned to to be too short to make her a nightgown. So I'll have to get another one. (Or fine another pattern that would fit in. I could use a contrasting fabric at the top and bottom, if need be.)
That sounds like a good idea, or just a solid.
My first thought was to add to what you have with a complimentary fabric to make it work.
