I haven't been to Pinterest in a while. Yuck. It's been taken over with AI images. Absolutely useless for my purposes. Pondering killing my account. If I should keep it, tell me why.
I saw that you can turn off AI recommendations .. there is still AI showing up sometimes but a lot less

It should be in your settings under "Refine your recommendations" and the last tab there is "Gen AI Interests" and turn them all off
No reason. Since they made it into a store it is Chinese resellers and AI garbage. I found it annoying before the enshittification. No reason to aggravate myself.
Interestingly enough, an article about Pinterest crossed my inbox today. They're shifting toward shopping, younger users, and say they're conscious of the overwhelm of AI on their site.
