Unfortunately, no. The timeframe of the decision was too short and everyone was stretched too thin to evaluate concepts like that. We've been given profiles of all churches in the denomination within a 10mi radius so we can find the right match for ourselves.

Wow. I completely understand that this is a huge impact on your lifestyle and sense of community.

This church actually cared about me, unlike the Catholic church where I raised my kids. When I attended here during my chemo treatments, they wanted to know how I was handling it and one of the bald guys joked about my lack of hair. They sent me cards to know they were praying for me. At the Catholic church, nobody bothered to say a word to me.

I’m so sorry. Breaking up a community like this just sucks, no,two ways about it.

What an awful situation. I hope you can find the right church, and that some of those you're close to in your current church find the same one.

Maybe you can connect with some of your closest friends from the church and pick one or two of the alternatives together to try out so that you can pick a new home as a group.
