p.s. if you guys are talking to other vendor system creators, and have questions, please encourage them to contact me. I can't believe I'm asking for more messages, but it'll be good to plan stuff ahead of time.
Thank you for giving us an incredible vendor system that we all loved, David! I wouldn't trade having chosen to use your system, even if I had known this would happen, because I have gained a wonderful friend by that choice. I'm sad to see it go, but I am truly thankful to have met you and been able to use this system for the years that I have.
anywhereexcepthere: I'll help all the self hosted customers individually figure out what they want to do moving forward, and how to get there. I just need to take care of the general customer base first.
Also guys, I'm gonna try my best to spend a little time on the discord channel just to see if I can answer any questions or offer any help. Just have a lot on my plate at the moment, and work is basically on fire.
The other thing I'm going to be willing to talk to other creators about is this ... there's a feature in e2v that allows for updating vendors in an automated way. I'm hoping that the info will help someone come up with a pretty painless upgrade path ... but obviously that not up to me! But, I'll be making the info available.
Sorry to see you go, but I think the spirit of what you did with e2v will live on in future systems. I know as far as I go, I always praise folks about how easy it was to set up and how I never felt my vendors were going to mess up because of web server downtimes etc etc.
