This is Brother From Another Earth!, first published in Italy in 1995, written by Rudy Salvagnini and drawn by Giorgio Cavazzano. It was published in America in Uncle Scrooge 370 in 2007. Coming from Italy we'll see a few different characters, like Scrooge's other
butler Quackmore no relation to another Quackmore I could name and Brigitta McBridge (MacBridge? I can never keep that straight), an Abhorrent Admirer created by Romano Scarpa who obsessively chases after Scrooge's heart.
Oh! And John D. Rockerduck, an obscure American character who features more overseas and is another rival of Scrooge's. So with that out of the way, let's get into the story~ The cover's not related, I just like it
Scrooge has been bored but luckily, Scrooge is here to help. He offers a trade in dimensions for a week, and after some quick convincing of Scrooge- er, our Scrooge -it looks like he's down for the deal.
Everybody strapped in? Good, away to Earth-D we go~ I was going to put more pages, but the translator picked the absolute best "expletive" I've ever heard come out of Scrooge's mouth, and I wanted to highlight that
So Scrooge arrives on Earth-D, and the office is.... new.... There's a garden, and a wife?Empty Money Bin?? Seems Scrooge-B is a spendthrift, but Scrooge-A put it better than I ever could: There's something rotten in Denmark-D.
Back at Brigitta's dinner party we get an explanation, in pure comic BS style, of Scrooge-B's behavior, and Scrooge-A is cheated, down, and dismal. At least, until he remembers he's SCROOGE EFFING MCDUCK and there's gonna be some CHANGES around here.
BUT YEAH. Once you've actually talked to your other self, who's a married spendthrift cheat, suddenly some other world becomes a curiosity rather than a surprise it exists XD As for this one itself, I admit it's one of my favorites of the Italian ones, I just love parallel stuff and Prince and the Pauper switches.
Oh man, what if they took it a step further and Second Scrooge was just a major flirt in general??? And when First Scrooge comes back Quackmore tells him "All right, sir, and after your date with Miss Brigetta, you have one with miss Magica, and miss-" "I HAVE WHAT"
