Mine honestly depend. I've got a roleplay character that was pretty tall for me. Her height twas at like...90...she was nearing seven feet according to firestorms in world scale. But most of mine are in the 5
I donno, even my really tall one felt uber short next to some people, though usually guys. I towered over some girls. She was suppose to be a really tall character but I had to bump it up more because everyone
There is a trend toward shorter avatars, but if you look at the avatar shape as a whole and by itself, disregarding measured height (and who's to say a meter in sl = a meter in sl, but that's another issue),
Basically, the minimum you can take a male av with the basic SL shape is something like 6 foot. For female, its about a foot less. SL is designed to make everyone huge because then you can fit less per sim.
I'm 5'2" in RL and soemthing like 5'6" or 5'8" in SL, but this far have been able to avoid being called a child, thankfully. Sometimes I'll go to stores though adn there's some 12-foot tall lady behind me and
Things in SL are also typically built on a larger scale, furniture especially. There's a new trend toward "realistically sized" houses, it seems like, but if you're a 6' woman in SL, that's like being 5'3" in
i must just have bad luck. i got kicked out of a sex place for looking "childlike" even with adult clothing, boobs, and an adult skin (though it was from tsg). the people around me even vouched for me.
I try to keep my av mid-range on heights..shorter then most guys, taller or as tall then alot of girls, its taller then my RL height by a few inches but thats cus I play a femboy and I needed him to look
I'm about 6' in RL and my avi has gradually shrunk over the years to 6'2" where I am now slightly shorter than most people I hang out with but I think she looks good and well proportioned all the same.
www.plurk.com/Nicolias_Sadoul yep, I'm aware of that since the skin I usually use isn't compatible with any of the male mesh bodies (seriously two) right now. For that only I don't wear a mesh body regularly.
