just a quick update. Death SUCKS. and watching someone slowly die SUCKS BIG TIME. And yes, there is an end. At least mom whispered "I love" with her last breath.

It-s been a long time. Hi all. I-ve missed you.
Mom's funeral is tomorrow. She is at resr. The last 4 months have been hard on her. I spent 3-day weekends caring for her, and my sis covered overnight on weekdays.

Plurking on the road again. over the river and through the woods and all that crossing state lines to "gramma's" house we go.

Tiredly riding the train home from work now- it was a busy, frustrating long Monday. it follows 4 days in PA at mom's bedside. sigh.

Hump Day Happy! Beautiful cold day in DC today.

Avoiding Black Friday and driving to the mtns in PA. The BIG family Thanksgiving is tommorow. Mom is still with us, weak and less able to move around, but determined to live every day to the hilt.

two cheery moments today: 1. 4 pairs of mourning doves landed on my patio and pecked at fallen seeds whle I ate my oatmeal. So lovely and soothing.
