So, Vibra. It is/was a HORRIBLE LTACH, but literally our only option in the state of Oregon. In my world, there's a lot of hope that Kindred (who runs the LTACHs in Washington State and elsewhere and has an excellent reputation) will buy them out.

Basically, we send patients to LTACH who've had severe things happen, aren't improving enough to live without hospital level of care but have no further acute treatment options. So needs dialysis but can't sit up/get into a chair and tolerate that for a full HD run. Or someone vent dependent and unable to wean.

These are people where goals of care remain aggressive rather than pivoting to a more palliative/comfort focused, end of life stage, goal
