So, I have spent most of my blogging career (18 years in November) thinking that my pictures suck or are just ok. Perhaps it's because I don't get all the faves like others or much feedback on my work. I'm also incredibly hard on myself and know that there are bloggers far more talented then I am.
With all that said, I was given a reason to go back over my flickr and see my work for the past several years. Seeing these pics with fresh eyes and perhaps more maturity, I realize that I really do have talent too. No, I don't use multiple layers or know how to do lots of photoshop tricks, but they are good. They are simple, clear and good.
I have the talent of composition and how to make a space have a certain feeling. I now do my fashion and decor posts separate, however I think some of my best work is when I used to combine the two. Perhaps I should do that again.
You are smart not falling into that fave game trap of following as many as you can and faving everything for a tit-for-tat fave back and putting your pics in 500 groups.

CajsaLilliehook: That has always seemed fake to me, just to tit for tat on faves. I do try to fave photos as often as I can, but I admit it can be hard for me to keep up with. Especially as my RL has changed
After years of Flickr, I have a different view than others. I follow back if the photos are clear in what the person wants you to see. No nasty porn, that is just gross, and I have unfollowed people for this reason. I come across something I feel is pretty or funny, I work on it and post it. I don’t care how many likes it gets. I do it for me. My hobby!
I should add I follow back when I see people have taken the time to try. People get to crazy on follows, follow backs. Lol
