話說俄烏戰爭剛爆發時，新芬黨也因為過去北愛動亂時代的背景而遭到質疑是否親俄（即便他們有出來表態支持烏克蘭），但看來這對於他們的支持度沒有太大影響。

不過以這次結果整體來說，英統派（聯合主義）的DUP雖然掉到第二大黨，但是英派的席次是25+17+9+1=52，愛統派只有27+8+1=36，所以雖然新芬黨是最大黨，但在議案的推動上恐怕還是會遇到不小的阻力。
