I'm working in retail while I figure out who I am/where I'm going. My dad has kidney cancer back in sept/October and it's led to him having terminal lung and intestinal cancers. I'm going over to Bulgaria in just over a week to visit and get affairs in order for him.
I've also come to terms with being Autistic, and accept it for what it is for me, how it's affected me and my relationships with others, and it's pivoted my career towards teaching children instead. I think I can do more for autistic kids in mainstream schools than I can for autistic adults in the games industry
Doesn't mean I don't still want to be a producer or work in games. Just that it's on hold for now, at least until all the male feminists in the industry have stopped sexually harassing all the women! (No, really that's happening a lot and it's very distressssss)
Some of it was OK haha. I mean I expected it to be a bit of a battle but I'm sad to see not much has changed. it's over 15 years since I worked in game design, I hoped for change
