a student who went to a waldorf school as a primary school student and/so she wasn't taught how to spell properly. As she's 17 I drew her attention to the fact that she might fail her Hungarian final exam based
solely on spelling. kru asked her whether her Literature teacher had some recommendations but apparently she didn't, which is a complete fucking mystery to me, her being the person responsible for the developme
nt of such skills as spelling (although, naturally, it is not her fault that my student was meagerly educated in the matter in her previous school). so now, to cut the Gordian knot, the teacher is sending my
student for professional dyslexia assessment to get her a waiver from assessment of spelling, thus showing that a.) she has no idea about what dyslexia is b.) obviously she has no intention to deal with the
problem any more. i am so fucking pissed. and of course, it's gonna be me to teach Hungaraian spelling to the girl as she is not dyslexic and somebody will have to do it eventually.
