In the overall, Australian Pinot- Bass Philip took 1st place.

and I just had a conversation with our winemaker yesterday. He went to a blind tasting in WA, he said to me:

I've never ever been so sure that one of the wines was Whisson Lake and it turned out was a Bass Philip!!

Looks like our wine is way too cheap for its price!!

I think it's about time to have a bench mark tasting for our Pinot!!!

apparently, Bass Philip sell their wine around AUD$ 150/ bottle!!

To be honest, some of the B Philip Reserve nose very similar to DRC Richebourg. Buy when you taste it, the sugar level definitely higher

than DRC. Phillp Jones make his wine very identical in blind tasting and the style of DRC & Leroy... Totally agree he make one of the best

I have the confident that our wine definitely has the DRC quality and not " sweet"! I've never tasted the B philip but I have tasted other

top end OZ Pinot from the Victoria.

the other thing is , the " sweet sensation" could due to when did they pick their friut, is it riper then usual?

or just simply the alcohol is high.... I don;t know.

well, I believe in Whisson Lake, it is a far better wine than most of the Burgundy.

so, it's just a thought to have a bench mark tasting, also it will be helpful to find out where is our wine stands at!
