Yeah, The Pirates of Dark Water. Really good series, but the merch didn't take off so it got cancelled. Ecological themes about a decade before they got really heavy-handed, mixed with swashbuckling action, evil magical things, and the voice of Tim Curry as a "I don't care I just want profit" villain and...

...Hector Elizondo as a guy who starts as "I guess I have to help these kids keep the world from being destroyed because that's where I keep all my stuff" and gets more heroic, doing the whole Han Solo arc.

I have vague memories of that when it was originally aired.
