我願把queers看作是naked lunch世界的延伸。 之前讀《打字機是聖潔的》知道凱魯亞克將墨西哥看作是像法外之地的夢鄉,William S. Burroughs在寫《裸體午餐》裡那仿佛終年暖黃的、菸酒毒品無處不在、青年們酷兒們聚在咖啡館裡談天說地、打字機噠噠金屬聲不斷的原型跟凱魯亞克眷戀不捨的墨西哥啪的連結在一起,像夢一樣的墨西哥。
巴勒斯的《酷儿》与瓜达尼诺的《酷儿》 Drew在采访中提到:“This isn't a story of unrequited love. It's a story of unsynchronised love. I think we’ve all had experiences and relationships with that feeling. It’s that two people have this love for one another, but for whatever reason, they exist in time and space that doesn’t allow them to fully merge.”
