So, yeah... got some horrible news last friday. I can mostly talk about it now. One of my Airmen, when I was NCOIC, took his own life Thursday morning.
He was supposed to sew on SMSgt and would have made it further than I did.
I had hoped it would make CMSgt, he would have made an excellent Chief. One who really cared about his Airmen.
I was really looking forward to hanging out with him last Sunday at the base holiday party.
So sorry to hear 
Don't know if I'll be able to handle going to the viewing on monday. Tuesday will be the funeral and interment. I'll be going to that.
