There is a little hole in the walkway up to my apartment building where one of the rocks popped out of the concrete. It is full of maggots. Nowhere else, just filling that hole. Why?

Anyway they were just in there, just filling the hole, just squirming for an entire day. It was gross and also I figured they were just going to die slow so I boiled some water and dumped it on them. Quick Death. No Poison. Seemed like the thing to do. Besides, best case scenario they live and we get a shit ton of flies or... SOMETHING

Ok I poured boiling water into that hole and washed them down the sidewalk. I can see where they ended up. There's a little spot where the water washed them to and you can see where they ended up in the dirt. ABOUT HALF OF THEM ARE STILL SQUIRMING. AND THE HOLD IS STILL ABOUT 1/4 FULL AND SOME OF THOSE ARE ALIVE TOO
