i updated my profile and wonder if i maybe missed something to mention
I check when I'm looking for their store. I hope to find a pick with a LM to their store. I often inspect an item I see somewhere, find the creator, and then find their store to visit.
I’m don’t check anyone’s profile unless they annoy me tbh
I need to know if I should IM, NC, or submit a ticket and I need that clear 😂
I always check creators profile, just to see what kind of a person they are
useful profile stuff: a picks or link to main store, link to flickr, blogger policy, don't care about any of the other stuff
the blogger policy one can make or break a brand, like even if I don't blog for them or intented to, if they're mean in it, I don't like them as much anymore lol
please include an updated link to your inworld store or your marketplace. most times i find an item i like and click profile so i can buy it or other things and it shouldn't be so haaarrrrd to give you my money.
and this is a collective "you" to every SL creator
I always appreciate knowing the preferred form of contact - some like IMs, some notecards.
I want an updated slurl, a Flickr page link, who/how to contact for customer service, and if they have a blogger manager. And then I like if they have personal things but I'm nosy.
if i see something I want i'll look up the creator, hopefully they'll have a link to their MP in their main info, otherwise I'll check their picks for it, or for a pick for their mainstore
thanks everyone! i think i have everything covered. all important links are in my "about" window
and more infos are in the picks
yours is fab. i don't know why designers prefer nc, it's such a pita. I just want to IM what i want to say! IMs DO NOT CAP if they have their settings right (send offlines to email, duh)
i sure don't want them to reply to me via NC either, I want to see it in my email
oh yes my /favorite/ is to receive a notecard named New Note without context. making me log in just to read it.
sometimes people have just a quick question, IMs are great for that but sometimes they have a list of things they want to discuss with me or tell me adding links and pics and stuff, for those things NCs are great. it always depends. i also prefer IMs a little bit more, cause i know right away what it's about
"new note" NCs or NCs that say "URGENT" always suck lol
Brb,sending you an IM that just says "hi."
gogolita: before i had premium plus, my IMs always capped and IMs to email wasn't always reliable, so i get why some creators prefer NCs. i sometimes i have customers i can only interact with via NC cause they never receive my IMs too. so i just leave it up to people what they prefer, i don't mind
just don't try to send me a Flickr mail, those i check maybe twice a year lol
honestly i don't mind getting a notecard, but i would love an IM with context too. just a 'hey i need help with a redelivery, here's my info!' is a nice courtesy
i like when customers are very detailed and give me all the infos i need right away. sometimes conversations go on for days, because i have to pull every bit of info out of people for something that could have been solved in 2 minutes
so i get when some creators write in their profile "DONT EVER SAY HI TO ME...don't do this or that" but i think it always comes across rude and makes a negative impression right away, so i just let that be lol
i do. I hope to see an up to date slurl for their store
Years ago, someone, I think it was Auryn Beorn, posted a tutorial on how to set your profile if you're a store owner. I follow it to the letter.
I do a quick skim of preferred way of contact, but that's about it
but tbf that's all I expect of ppl who contact me too
i always wondered about the "i never hide my online status" thing, i read that a couple of times before in profiles
thanks for your input everyone <3
tbh with regards to CSR stuff I've found that SL has eaten IM's and then notecards get lost in the bottomless notecard folder. There's probably better ways of doing it where things won't get lost, like a google form which can be set up to email you any time there's a response.
it's even happened before where i've been online, gotten an IM from someone, then I crashed and since they're not on my friend list they don't even know I crashed and it's like welp guess that IM's gone forever
Valent1ne: conversation log is a life saver when it comes to check who IMed you recently, especially in cases like you mentioned, like when you crash to find out who Imed you.
I look for a LM to the store. I look for a marketplace link. And who / how to contact
