This was the header story for Scrooge's own series. Created in 1947 he had been steadily growing in popularity, and this story in particular would go on to influence many things down the line, as well as get reprinted many times. Today's images come FROM that first issue though.
Scrooge is out but with the just as immortal "Tougher than the toughies" speech he remembers he's Scrooge Effing McDuck and isn't going to take this lying down. He comes at the Beagles with wiliness of his own, which seems to work.
