this: Qarl commented to Oz Linden recently re. the mesh deformer: "Oz, it's been almost two years now. does that seem right to you?" Yeah, Oz, does it? Seems like about 2 years too long if you ask me. GYST!
but its much more important to develop new features like materials that 20 people in SL can see/use. The deformer would be adopted by practically everyone, has been funded and developed already, so let it rot.
Oz doesn't have enough power, that is the problem here. He's been trying to get a team together on this for months and they're not interested. Go to one of his meetings and ask before you make assumptions.
As customers we get to voice opinions about the service we pay LL to provide. Of course it is up to LL to listen to us or not. They have demonstrated OH SO CLEARLY over the years they do not care what we think
Ive been to about 300 of his meetings. After about 2 years of listening to excuses I stopped going. I do follow the jira thread though. Of course they need to fix the avatar, but there is also some serious
personality issues going on in that office, and Oz has been that way since before Qarl was even fired. Additionally, its my plurk, I will make all the assumptions I like, knowing full well the various aspects.
My impression has been that this has become an internal political thing, however. That some people within the lab have set their heels against it because of personalities rather than putting it through the same
Max, the problem with your assumptions is that they're made on the premise that Oz is the one who runs LL. He's just an employee who can be there next year or not. He doesn't have the power you think he has.
I still have the same question I have had for years why oh why will the not give us an new Av? I do not mean to delete the old one that would be too traumatic but surely we can have an upgraded version now
people used to tell me it was cause was it would be too much load on the grid but with the advent of mesh I call BS on that people are building new avvs and wearing them over the old ne as well as mesh body
New Jira 4568: Stop Oz from being a poopyhead/ To further advance the grid with the implementation of various tools, the poopyhead Oz bug needs to be fixed. This would include resolving personality conflicts.
