  • ckeithley says
I try to post things in delicious links so I can search by relevant tag later when I need them.
  • AmberCadabra
i think i'm getting that plurktarded syndrome LOL
  • AmberCadabra
evernote looks interesting! I'm going to try it out but gonna have to upgrade my OS if i want to use the desktop version
  • acnatta says
yeah, it sucks that I can't use it on the Mac except as the web version
  • DebInAustin says
I use google notebook. Have tried out EverNote, but it's not as helpful as GN which fits in the bottom right side of browser.
  • acnatta says
I really love OneNote but it's nice to have the web access of evernote (and the ability to use it on both Mac and PC)
  • acnatta says
its the same as Notebook, but it's a little more flexible (to me at least)
  • acnatta says
though I've got tons of friends who swear by GN
  • DebInAustin says
I've never tried OneNote, will take a look at it.
  • AmberCadabra
I'm going to try out GN and evernote and see which one i gravitate toward. Thanks!
  • Te-ge
uses scribefire, google notebook, and Instapaper (an app doshdosh recommended).
  • miketempleton
I either add links to del.icio.us or email myself, but I have a hard time actually going back and looking at stuff I've sent.
  • servantofchaos says
that is actually what my blog is about ... it is an idea scrapbook
  • AmberCadabra
Gavin, i subscribe and love your stuff. Now i need to get it over to where all the other ideas live LOL
  • amsall says
Good old pen and paper :-)
  • AmberCadabra
i love my notebook, too, but am just getting TOOO overwhelmed.
  • KDFrawg says
I keep a text file with just raw ideas. As they unraw, I move them into a file structure.
  • Robyn says
AmberCadabra This is a great thread, thanks for posting it, have wondered also how everyone else manages it!
  • KDFrawg says
I just sorta find that a disk folder structure is perfect. A folder for every book, a folder of every blog, etc.
  • AmberCadabra
i suppose it all depends how you categorize things in you mind. for me, it's ideas for blog posts, then ideas for my own biz
  • KDFrawg says
Subfolders for raw ideas and research, etc.
  • AmberCadabra
then strategies i can learn about to better my work for my clients
  • AmberCadabra
so i basically need a dumping ground where i can sort through stuff later and not have to search for it
  • KDFrawg says
Las thing every night, I spend some time moving raw notes to the file structure. Sounds complicated, but it isn't.
  • acnatta says
I also use FreeMind too for the stream of consciousness and flow chart type stuff
  • KDFrawg says
Freemind is cool for brainstorming and visualizing connections. I love it.
  • AmberCadabra
thanks for all your suggestions, guys! I may have to aggregate these into a blog post.
  • acnatta says
I would think that this was a Plurkshop as well tonight...
  • KDFrawg says
Is there a regular Plurkshop tonight?
  • AmberCadabra
so far I'm finding Evernote really easy. The Google Notebook plugin is acting fravitzy on me
  • DebInAustin says
oh, do you have FF3? I think there is a bug for it, sorry! I forgot about that. I know they are aware and trying to fix it.
  • acnatta thinks
sometimes the best Plurkshops are the ones that we just stumble into - though there may have been one scheduled...
  • AmberCadabra
I do have FF3. Thanks for the heads up - i'll take another look when it's unbuggy
  • DebInAustin says
sorry about that! It works reeeaaallly! I'll let you know what I hear.
  • AmberCadabra
no worries! I'll give it another shot
  • KDFrawg says
I love evernote! And it is out of beta as of today!
  • KDFrawg says
he agrees with acnatta. This one has been great, although I got here a little late.
  • DebInAustin says
hey. I tried that blog network app on Facebook and had to enter 5 blogs to follow, so I entered yours and mack's. Also Miss Attitude's.
  • AmberCadabra
I gotta try that thing. it's on the list LOL
  • DebInAustin says
well, you are on there now. I am so bad about this stuff. Tell me about and I have to sign up. I have so many beta invites!
  • AmberCadabra
did someone link to the FB app already? I can't find it. :-(
  • DebInAustin says
ProBlogger did and I re-plurked his post, let me find the link.
  • johnrhopkins says
oldschool method of emailing myself. Always with the same subject start so I can find them later in gmail
  • Jane Chin
johnrhopkins I've done that! Then create email filter to automatically file idea piles etc.
  • KDFrawg says
Sometimes I call myself and leave messages. :-)
  • codyrobert
says janechin i've emailed myself many times and it usually starts out with a compliment to myself :-D
  • CallKathy loves
OneNote... but you probably knew that already. Shared notebooks rule!
  • johnrhopkins is
embarrased to say that I once called myself and left a message... forgot about it and briefly wondered who's voice it was on the message.
  • johnrhopkins is
sure alcohol was involved. The fact that I'm unsure probably proves it.
  • Jane Chin
codyrobert that is an amazing idea. next time i'll start by complimenting myself in all the emails i send to myself ;-)
  • DebInAustin says
