okay, something is terribly wrong when HP ink costs more than human blood.
  • AZJazzyJ thinks
that's about right since I have to pay an arm and a leg when I have to buy ink cartridges.
  • CT Xue says
are you kidding? Funny, I'm still an HP reseller, too ;-)
  • dubina says
In which country vodka is that cheap? :-)
  • martinbogo
go to any Liquor Barn or such place.. plenty of inexpensive vodka around
  • martinbogo
(and that char is by mL .. lots of -expensive- vodkas are at that price)
  • martinbogo
    last I looked .. $0.03/ml = $30/L
  • martinbogo
    the chart IS wrong however.
  • martinbogo
    Guy, gasoline is 0.095/ml
  • martinbogo
the square shouldn't even show up :-)
  • Beth Harte says
okay, something is just wrong when Guy posts and runs! Doesn't he know he needs to converse?
  • AZJazzyJ thinks
maybe Guykawasaki ran out to get more HP Ink before the price goes up again.
  • Beth Harte says
guykawaski, any particular reason you chose to share that chart? What interested you?
  • Beth Harte says
he's not even on Twitter...so I couldn't harrass him. Maybe he's giving blood.
  • Guykawasaki
Working on Alltop, I find interesting stuff and share. Think of me as your personal Delicious Guy
  • martinbogo
on a different "plurk" .. what do you think of the ZZR1200 engine?
  • martinbogo
(given that gas is one of the cheaper liquids)
  • Beth Harte says
So then guykawaski, you are a broadcaster...No social media for you, huh?
  • martinbogo says
he does participate, but has divided his attention across a -lot- of media outlets
  • martinbogo
    think "scoble" "laporte" "steven colbert"
  • Beth Harte says
you are missing the point. I know who Guy is, I read his blog. The point is, the social media experts are becoming...
  • Beth Harte says
...what they tell us all not to be. I just find that ironic. That's all.
  • Beth Harte says
social media is about convos. not just blasting out messages...if you do that, they you are just utilizing SM tools to do trad. mktg.
  • Beth Harte says
    *then* not *they*
  • Connie thinks
GuyKawasaki is more of a marketing expert than social media expert. He broadcasts here & on Twitter, and that's his choice.
  • Connie says
I take a different approach, and that's my choice. I'm a social media consultant and I enjoy connecting through conversation.
  • Beth Harte says
another point is that if Guy posts on Plurk and then nothing happens (like a convo.) he will think less of Plurk and it's potential
  • Beth Harte says
    or, perhaps he doesn't care.
  • Beth Harte says
Guy aside, he's a VC and perhaps SM isn't really what works for him...But in general, SM experts are writing books on SM
  • Beth Harte says
blogs, podcasts, etc. and telling marketers that the way to market is changing.
  • Beth Harte says
and yet, it seems to me, they are all still utilizing trad. marketing.
  • Beth Harte says
not sure if that makes sense. It would be like Kotler teaching us all about the 4 Ps and then doing something completely different.
  • martinbogo thinks
Scoble, however, hasn't -quite- figured out Plurk.
  • martinbogo
It's a bit of a paradigm change, and I know he's used to blog + twitter
  • martinbogo is
now finding a way to take a plurk + running commentary, and create a more blog-like interface
  • martinbogo
(no API makes it a bit harder)
  • Connie says
You know what? I think we have hijacked Guykawasaki's thread? :-)
  • Connie
This conversation might be better suited to one of our plurk pages and not Guy's.
  • martinbogo
Agrees :-) Who wants to host the thread?
  • Connie
    I'll volunteer.
  • Beth Harte says
apologies Guy!! This is what happens on Plurk....We're moving on.
  • MackCollier says
a few of us tried to help Guy with the 'rules of the road' for Plurk earlier. Sharing links is fine here, if balanced with participation.
  • steamykitchen says
back to discussing the chart? ;-)
