    Carol the way is to us mute button for each conversation that you no longer want to read... but then you would be spending time doing that

    for now the best way is to come onto plurk, goto your plurk and your private plurks read the new responses there

    then look at the new responses you think you want to read on the full timeline and then MAAR for the rest and start anew

    go to the bottom of the thread of that plurk and press "plurk page" you will see the whole convo in a new tab that U can add to Ur favorites

    what I did above was a cut & past job... time consuming... but it was the only part of the convo that made sense

    use the search button - bottom right of timeline U will see magnifier to the left of the box where you can choose how you look at Ur timline
