how important is a username to you? Do you sometimes check a profile based on the username? I think they are the first impression.

  The username may be an indicator of what a person is "about" but really I chase content. What they say is what attracts me.

  as for other people, I ignore any profile with a username that has multiple "x"s or excessive number of, uh, numbers.the shorter the better.

  we react to usernames as first impression, yes - but maybe not consciously. *sexypic123* gets diff eyes than *DefLepFan* or *mom2josh* etc
