    200g Marshmallows (approx); 60g Butter; 1 tablespoon of water; 1 teaspoon vanilla essence; 125g [block] of plain chocolate (or thereabouts)

    - the chocolate can be chopped, grated or pre-bought in bits; 125g (1 cup) - or as much or little as you like of nuts or fruit or any other

    flavouring/additive that takes your fancy. You don't need to add anything if you'd rather have it plain.

    Combine marshmallows, butter and water in a saucepan. Enjoy.

    Stir over low heat until butter and marshmallows are melted (OR microwave on medium high for about 2 minutes).

    (I always do mine over the stove)

    Remove from heat. Stir in vanilla essence and chocolate Beat with a wooden spoon until mixture begins to thicken.

    Stir in flaviouring (nuts/fruit); mixture should be thick and sticky. Grease tray and pour mixture into tray (8x26cm tray)

    Refrigerate for several hours and once set, cut into cubes.

    doesn't tend to measure too precisely... near enough really is good enough. It's never turned out badly for me.
