    my wife took some photos last night which showed they we're smoking a plant

    and they had a room locked upstairs -- giving us some lie about their mom using the room and they didn't have the key...

    BUT... today they removed a grow type florescent light from that room

    and the neighbor told us a long time ago that there is a strong light on all the time in that room

    and today I noticed they did some strange plastering in that room -- definitely hiding something there

    so, with have no doubt that they we're growing marijuana or some other illegal plant in that room

    the question though... should we let the police know?

    we have photos of what they we're smoking too

    I'm a bit scared of them though -- for if the police confront them and they realize it was us... they will definitely seek revenge

    likely they we're just growing it for their own use... still illegal though

    and, we don't really have proof... except for what might be hidden inside the wall.

    maybe you should call anyway, but don't call the emergency number. Maybe call and ask for advice. You have suspicions and there is this hole

    ...in one of your walls that was plastered over...could it be hiding something illegal? See what they say.

    I wouldn't make the call. While it is illegal, marijuana is a lot safer than alcohol. They are gone, good riddance. Just claim ignorance on

    Lots to worry about... if we tell the police anything now, and they confront the tenants, the tenants could come back -- destroy the house

    and they know where we live too -- they could come and destroy our house or even kill us

    have to check what the penalty is for growing marijuana in canada

    Yeah, I'd say it's not worth the risk just make sure there is nothing behind that wall...

    most likely, behind the wall is mature marijhana plant(s)... right now we only have our suspicions

    if we open the wall and find the plants, then what?

    Plants need a lot of light, I don't see why they'd hide the in the wall unless there is a room behind the wall?

    my thinking is that, not knowing how to get rid of the mature plants, they made the hole in the wall, put the plants inside...

    and then put a new piece of drywall/plaster over the opening

    hmm... it seems illogical for people like them (low on money, obviously not responsible) to not take mature plants with them...

    but... couldn't they have just put it into a garbage bag and thrown it out?

    Well one thing is for sure, you need to find out what is in that wall if anything

    likely their new place is too small for this grow op of theirs

    one of my other plurk friends has regular apartment walk throughs, you may want to consider that if you keep it a rental.

    we're definitely selling the place -- just hope we can still find a buyer... and need to decide what to ask
