October 02, 2008 at 23:07KirakosaysIt honestly *just* dawned on me that I need this. What the hell were my parents thinking when they *forgot* to teach me about money!?
October 02, 2008 at 23:09meggansayslol Have you tried mint.com ? it's a free money management tool that helps you make a budget and you can get alerts if you get close to it.
October 02, 2008 at 23:10meggansaysI used it basically to monitor my spending, see where stuff goes, etc. It has pretty charts and graphs and you can input lots of accounts.
October 02, 2008 at 23:11CristinasaysI personally like Quicken. After using it for 3 years I can't understand how people go without a management program like that
October 02, 2008 at 23:12meggansayssome girls at work also just use an excel spreadsheet and keep all their receipts. I like mint because it does it automatically. No math.
October 02, 2008 at 23:15StarfurysaysThis sounds like exactly what I need. Not totally awful with money, but I seem to manage to fritter each month with not alot to show for it
October 03, 2008 at 03:14mendifaesaysI have a budget that I worked out for my family. I kept missing bills due dates and was paying late fees - not anymore!
October 03, 2008 at 14:08KirakosaysI've had Mint for a while but I've never done much with it, to be honest. I just actually tried some new software that I adore so far...
October 03, 2008 at 14:08Kirakosays...so we'll see how that works! But I do recommend Mint to anyone, it's a really cool system. The spending charts are fabulous alone...
October 03, 2008 at 14:09Kirakosays...and I would probably use it by itself if my bank didn't already do those spending charts.
