    yes the alert emails have to be made optional. uuuuuugh.

    leolaporte Yes, you can turn notifcation off by going to My Account > Privacy > and you can disable friend request notification from there.

    I've never gotten emails from plurk...strange.

    OH you can turn it off, its just well hidden in the "settings"

    Go to my account and switch off e-mails for new friend requests. It just turns off all e-mails.

    I should have looked as well, I just filtered all plurk stuff in my gmail to show as read. Lazy me!

    just use Gmail filters and skip the inbox. Of course I am assuming you're using Gmail...

    I was having a fit, but looks like they've added a way, as of today. Thank god. Under Privacy settings.

    If your talking about the Friend Alerts you can turn it off through the Privacy settings / Account Settings

    i think there is a way to turn it off..have to check your account settings...or like others have said use email filter.
