  Doppelme allows right-click and save as once you say you're done.

  On doppelme the characters start out "naked" though not inappropriately so but for some grades it can lead to giggling.

  above sites allow right-click and save as but they're somewhat slow at times and have some accessories that aren't completely appropriate

  oh yeah - characters start out in underwear on messdudes which can cause issues for some classes.

  I received one response on Twitter for www.makewee.com and use Jing to capture image.

  oh that one is really cute. I hadn't seen that one before. You could use Jing on any of the ones I noted as hard to save.

  I actually teach the kids about the Print Scrn button and paste into a graphics program and teach cropping and saving from there.

  I'm out of district office and am not in position to teach the kids, but I could show teachers about Jing and kids could use it, too.

  Thanks again, so helpful. We need avatars for wikispaces. Kids have figured out how to put up pics and are using real ones.

  interesting, I haven't done avatars, yet. Cool!
