lizard.beer Jun 05, 2008 04:33AM wonders how she can mark all as read and have 128 new responses the next second. a bit much. NEED ability to dismiss threads from timeline.
lizard.beer Jun 05, 2008 04:37AM or maybe to choose to follow certain threads and then filter for only those.
ayse Jun 05, 2008 04:39AM agrees. i'm not involved in every conversation of every follower. once i determine that, it'd be nice to move on.
lizard.beer Jun 05, 2008 04:40AM i'm torn between dismissal, and only following by choice. but some way of filtering the "new" down to "new i want to read".
lizard.beer Jun 05, 2008 04:42AM so who do we plurk to with our pleas for features? i don't want to be a pest, i love the place, just need a little noise filtration.
bloggersblog thinks Jun 05, 2008 04:42AM if he starts a thread on a subject that bores you, you should be able to hide it - otherwise it will keep popping up and bothering you.
ayse wishes Jun 05, 2008 04:44AM plurk had a suggestions link. otherwise, we'll be bumping up against these ungainly bits for a long time.
lizard.beer Jun 05, 2008 04:46AM so no one knows how to plurk to the plurktocracy about all things plurkish?
lizard.beer Jun 05, 2008 04:47AM hmm. well they noticed msaleem's post about it, perhaps i should blog & plurk about it and maybe they'd notice that?
codyrobert wishes Jun 05, 2008 04:50AM for "smart verbs". It'll recognize when you do a freeform verb and add a color that it looks like. It made more sense in my head.
Mr Sir BigPapa wishes Jun 05, 2008 04:50AM for plurk to remember the verbs I use for later (kind of what codyrobert said)
KDFrawg says Jun 05, 2008 04:51AM You know, that would not be too hard to implement. I already have the code in my head...
lizard.beer Jun 05, 2008 04:51AM oh! yes! or special notation that would create special verbs upon request. like ::myverb:: or somesuch.
lizard.beer Jun 05, 2008 04:52AM ok going to keep this thread open & get to blogging in the other window. and if i ping msaleem's post that'll help too.
thunderror says Jun 05, 2008 04:53AM i came on and I had around 168...plurk needs to do some organising on that one...
codyrobert says Jun 05, 2008 04:54AM yes! but the color is the important thing. I want to say: codyrobert laughs about.... but laughs **needs** to be in a neon yellow
lizard.beer Jun 05, 2008 05:00AM ok i'm on it. keep the thoughts coming, i'm blogging in another tab.
KDFrawg Jun 05, 2008 05:03AM We need to work on the filters. They have already thought of the clique to filer people.
KDFrawg Jun 05, 2008 05:04AM How about a checkbox in front of the avatar on the thread that would be checked by default but could be unchecked to ingnore the thread?
lizard.beer Jun 05, 2008 05:05AM see, i don't want to clique filter. i love all my plurk friends. i just don't love each and every plurk thread.
KDFrawg Jun 05, 2008 05:07AM I'm not sure how I would use the clique filter. I've been pondering it on and off all day. I think you would miss too much that way.
KDFrawg Jun 05, 2008 05:10AM I think the checkbox would work. And it's fairly trivial to code, as well.
ayse Jun 05, 2008 05:17AM and it allows us 2 easily jump back in should we want to by keeping those friends' threads active (as opposed to unfollowing chattier folks)
KDFrawg Jun 05, 2008 05:21AM Yup. It is easily reversible. I really don't see much in the way of a problem with it. Thinking...
lizard.beer Jun 05, 2008 05:23AM ok. dotlizard.com/2008/06/plurk-the-wishlist.php going to go plurk this separately.
