pfanderson Sep 22, 2008 01:01PM Oops! I crossed 16K bookmarks in Delicious on Saturday and didn't notice ... Working away ...
mindelei says Sep 22, 2008 05:27PM pfanderson What kind of tagging do you use to help you keep track of it all?
pfanderson says Sep 22, 2008 10:41PM broad and redundant. Tend to over-tag items. For example, for anything remotely health related I use 4 tags everytime:
pfanderson says Sep 22, 2008 10:39PM then I add to that. I also use publication type for most things: report articles papers blogposts news etc.
pfanderson says Sep 22, 2008 10:43PM I also use tags for how I found it (via:twitter via:plurk via:friendfeed via: f2f via:search), cuz that helps me refind it if I remember
pfanderson says Sep 22, 2008 10:43PM I also tag with target audience (4teachers 4doctors 4patients 4parents)
pfanderson says Sep 22, 2008 10:41PM so lots of tags aids in discovery by other folk and also refinding by me
Connie Sep 23, 2008 01:08AM Once you get your tagging strategy set up it's not time-consuming. Delicious autofills known tags as you start to type.
pfanderson says Sep 23, 2008 06:13PM Yep! Goes really fast. I certainly wouldn't have 16K bookmarks if they didn't make it easy
