    They are there to report the story. City officials have underground command center. Reporters are stationed in nearby hotel, upper floors.

    Altho winds not as strong as Katrina, wind field is larger--275 miles wide w/ hurricane-force winds 100 miles out from eye.

    the main reason they are there is called "ratings". In TV, ratings are more important than human life or human suffering. More suffering
