    my almost 21 yo who goes to school in Chicago was in a Chicago ER last night with what he thot was a kidney stone

    Kidney stone has not produced yet--but doc says swollen lymphnodes around kidney area

    w/ no kidney stone produced, doc wants him to see another doctor

    He had cat scan, MRI, Blod tests, and ultra sound

    He has been having kidney stones since he was 16--about one ayear

    never before while all by himself tho

    I guess it is good that the Dr. is being thorough

    he's a little freaked, but doing okay on painkillers

    we may go up this week just to give TLC in person

    ok, so he does have a history of them - in an odd way I suppose that is good? oh how painful :-(

    dear friend passed kidney stone and had 2 c-sections she said the sections were nothing compared to the stone

    He really has gootten good at detecting the onset

    You should go up. I ended up in hospital when I went to college and was soooo happy to see my mommy.

    Oh cathyjo how hard for you. When daughter was in college, she had multiple visits to er for migraines/seizures. My heart goes out to you!

    his roommate came to the ER and made sure he got home okay

    never have heard a doctor say that before, but when they couldnt find the stone, they were checking everything

    will do. He is feeling fine on the painkillers but i dont want him to "like" them a lot. He's always been a fairly healthy kiddo

    I have a friend who has had that...she stays away from ALL caffeine, seems to help

    You know we'll help any way we can. My brother gets kidney stones and can still run rings around me. It's horrible but not life threatening.

    my son's girlfriend is a nurse and she says swollen lymph glands mean infection of some sort

    he will be going to another doctor in the next few days. Sigh.

    i get kidney infections easy and my dr. told me to drink cranberry juice when i felt it coming on

    Clyde (my son) went to the doctor today, and they say it was a kidney stone that has passed--he had no pain today, and...

    to come back in 3 months for a check on his Kidneys for signs of issues, which they doubt will be found. Im so releived.
