    shut up dumbass! ;-)
  • daynah asks
what does karma allow you to do besides change your character and title?
  • thunderror says
it allows access to more smileys as well...
  • ThinkingSerious says
there should be some reverse Karma action going on for stupid behaviour.
  • abarrera says
it's a way to know who's fault is when plurk goes down :-P
  • sk0207 says
but how to . and who determinate for "stupid behaviour" ?
  • the JoshMeister thinks
karma is a brilliant way to get people hooked & to gain users, while simultaneously encouraging people to post lameness to "level up" (bad)
  • tjgillies says
    heh "level up"
  • thunderror says
nice way of putting it...level up...hah..
  • the JoshMeister thinks
it's a good thing for Plurk while it's in its infancy, but like scobleizer says it sucks that it encourages gaming and lameness
  • thunderror says
2000 seems to be tough considering that the lead developer is at 75...
  • daynah thinks
there's definitely needs to be more incentives for karma points!
  • Rufus thinks
karma will help have a community, and the community is stronger then failures... loiclemeur get out of my body ! :-)
  • matstace asks
just how many plurks/plurk responses will be along the lines of "karma++"
  • saint_ethique thinks
all alway's depends of the user ..
  • nightsky wishes
it would've been called something other than karma. The term karma has been thrown around a lot lately.
  • sonnygill thinks
if you offer a prize for higher karma, that's gonna ruin the whole system.
  • Beth Harte says
that the point of Karma and, uh, social media, is to converse. You, scobleizer, never talk back...
  • Beth Harte thinks
you should chat with us geeks. :-)
  • Ourfounder says
    gaming is Web 2.0
  • snosnap thinks
it is what it is. just here to interact, not care about a measure. get enough measurement at work.
  • bruceturner wishes
for the options to hide my own karma and flambe dancing bananas.
  • Ourfounder says
how much would you work for the karma to do exactly that?
  • TheDreamer says
it is killing my interest, since my karma is going down now....perhaps I should get all depressed and go away. (s_tears)
  • Ourfounder says
karma is like an annoying tamugochi. You have to slave to plurk in order to maintain it. (:
  • bruceturner says
ourfounder - hilarious. Whatever it takes, man;-) I do wonder whether karma is a barrier to entry for those who would otherwise participate
  • BryanLAS
I'm mostly just ignoring the Karma thing. If I get a "high score"... so be it!
  • Ourfounder asks
"but it's dancing fruit! won't you sell your soul for dancing fruit?!"
  •  swemoney thinks
karma is small to him. I look at it a once a day but don't let it dictate how i plurk.
  •  swemoney says
since the last 'upgrades' you unlock happen at 50 karma, I really won't care about it at all anymore once I get there.
  • Roberto shares
well, they have some ideas about Karma: "Plurk to UnVeil New Karma System". dev.cl/mah8
  • TheDreamer hates
that my karma keeps falling. I don't know why I'm hated. (s_tears)
  • d3bruts1d  says
not if done correctly. More plurks than replies? Punish the person... limit messages to non friends... etc.
  • sillypixie says
Karma == reputation. Gaming and stupid behavior happens IRL for reputation - why should digital relationships be simplistic in comparison?
