Maybe your twitter friends are trying to lure you off of Plurk.

that's true for me too, I wondered what's up with that, maybe they heard about twitter at NECC and looked for edtech people to follow
  • LParisi says
I think, also, that is it coming from NECC. Many more followers since then.

that's weird, all of my new ones were spammers!

    Friend of a Friend syndrome?

I do think it must be because of NECC. My Twitter network has gotten huge (900+). I'm trying to keep Plurk more manageable.

Wow, you have more than me! I have over 700. Will only follow about 150. Can't keep up.

Wonder if it's due to some of your screencasts being passed along. DO you have a "Follow me at..." spot on your blog's front page?
  • lizbdavis says
kmulford I do have link to my Twitter page on my blog. Maybe I should take it off... Since I have talked up Twitter so much - I feel bad

if I don't follow people back.
  • LParisi says
I rarely follow newbies to begin with. Not many followed me when I started. Need posts first.
  • nnorris asks
LParisi define "newbie" and what do you mean "need posts first", them "newbies" or you? How would you see their posts if you don't follow?
  • KarinB says
lizbdavis don't feel badly about not following back. Let folks follow you, they will learn a lot!
